There are two new car related programs on BBC2 tonight. The first one at 8:00 about stolen cars but the other at 8:30 called Wrong Car, Right Car might be of more interest. I saw a trailer last night and it showed a Chimaera. It did not make it too clear if it's featured in tonight’s show but tonight’s show is about a guy who wants to get a new sports car to replace his Porsche and still have room for his golf clubs.
Might be worth a quick look……………..

I actually thought it was quite good
The silly Irish student bloke is still the same Chris Evans look-a-like twat, but the programme itself was a good laugh. In the coming weeks they have someone choosing between a Chimeara and other things so it might be worth kepping an eye on. Lets try to be positive for once here, we are getting an hour of motoring related programming on a Thursday which must be an improvement

When the man said he wanted performace and space to put his golf clubs I thought I would see a Griff in the line up, no such luck. He turned down some other cars (can't remember which ones) as he thought they were 'older' peoples cars, then goes for the merc !
I also thought it was harsh on the skoda dealer, when he chose the Merc at the end as he was left standing there like a lemon.

Don't knock it.

They were prepared to look at all cars to fit 'his' requirements. Which were performance, space for golf clubs, PLUS maybe a baby.

The skoda came second, and that was due to his wife admitting to be a badge snob. (8 out of 10 would probbaly choose a merc over a skoda, just because what the 'neighbours would think)

So for a general car programme it was quite intellegent, and they looked at a wide range of cars, scooby, mg-r, skoda rs, civic type r, bmw compact, etc. Don't forget budget was £16,000

I did like the bit haggling with the dealers, with an earpeace to get negotiating advice from the two presenters.

Spotted the Tamora - great color, anyone know what it was? - think i've seeen a couple of Tuscan's in it. TA few of the cars he turned done were an A4 Estate - too fuddy duddy, Scooby Sport Wagon (aka estate)- too slow Skoda Octavia RS - wrong badge !! Civic Type R - nice but too harsh a ride
Golf, Rover 45/ZT, BMW - these were dismissed by the 'irish twat' before the billy bunter got a look in

He was shown as a second hand bet a porker 928, Peugeot 406 coupe and a few other to show what is out there for 16k money.

It seemed a good program, and the coaching he got when talking with the dealer was good to see !! Though since he didn;t have a baby and was only planning in maybe a year, why didn;t he go for a Griff, now ans then sell it later when the mrs got preggers????....

I thought the first show was the funniest. Earnest girl reporter in seach of a car-ringing gang. Lots of shaky hidden camera work and trendy investigative stuff.

Interesting that they didn't show the result of the chassis number change (involving welding just above the fuel lines!), which appeared to be very crude. Not a lot about the documents either.

The show at 8.00 was a real let down.
Just what did they prove, did anyone get locked up, no idea?
The bloke who did the actual 'ringing' just drove off, and the brains just legged it abroad before they even collared him!

And what senseable scheduling, 1 hour of Drivel on 4 at the same time as 1 hour of car related stuff on 2, nice one, glad I've got 2 videos.
