Direct Line. And a car on your side of a road

Well my luck gets better and better. (Not). After getting my car back on the road after a wire loom problem. And a earth problem. I got to say what a different the earth lead has made to the car. Eg the widows go up and down in double the speed lights are brighter and it seems faster.
But sadly after sorting the earth problem a simple fix clean the bolt by the rad. i went out for a drive. i was amazed it seem liked i was driving a different car. After 30 min of driving I was on the way home. On a county lane coming to a blind bend. I went in to it turn my side left. To find a Audi a4 on my side of the road cutting the corner. i was like what the ****. no way im i getting thought next thing hit the curb up the grass verg. And I stop. i was not going that fast lucky due to a cycles that i went passed. god know what speed i would of done if he was not there. any way i look to see if he has stoped. and guess what no. so i turn round and follow him. see if i could stop him. as i shout at the cycle to stay there. Lucky the audi was stuck in traffic. after flashing my light and half a mile he stop in the road on a bend. i was thinking what a fing idoit. he got out and said what my problem. i was like erm you driving me off the road. he was like what ever. And said that not your car any way. by this time i only could see red and want to. well i think you could imagine. then he said where the damage. i had a look round my car and my front off side wheel is well not in good shape. but he turn round and said where the damage on my car. and laff and jump in the car and drove off. lucky i got the number plate. and i went back to the bend where lucky the cycles was still there. Thank god for good honest people. and he said he would be a witness. as if it was couple of min sooner god knows that would of happen. so i reported it to the police. and 2 the insurance. the trouble is direct line want to take it to a garage that im not to happy with not sure if they know any thing about tvr. as i want to make sure there no more damage. as there might be.

Hi I was with direct line when I had someone hit the back of me. They said they wanted to send it to their garage as well. Just tell them it is a specialised car and it needs to go to a TVR specialist once they understand they have no problem.
What he said ^Insurers cannot force you to use one of their preferred garages, however sometimes they will want you to get several quotes for the work and/or send out an assessor to check the state of the car and so on. Also, it means that the insurers will not guarantee the repair so if there is a future problem you will need to take it up with the garage.
