Hi,

I thought this would best be in here, as I thought some of you guys may be quite knowledgable on the subject...

I'm restoring my Scimi & have found the floor pan to be a little worn out- it has a steel strip running through it, which the seat mounts to.

That has long since rusted away & I am in the process of replacing it.

Now, I just wanted to know how many layers of FG matting do I need to lay over the top of it for it to be strong enough for the application?

Thanks in advance.

Agreed - 2 or 3 layers of CSM.. use the thicker grades of CSM..

Depends how strong you want it to be and how much time and money you want to spend. I would use about five layers of 450 but four of 280 would be stronger.
