I always jacked my chim up and jack my cerb up via the centre chassis rails...and I try to jack it up level so not to twist the chassis (this should not be an issue if the chassis is in good nick - belt n braces in my case).

Think TVR state to use the chassis outrigger for jacking but then the trolley jack/axle stand will be in your way...

Have fun!

I've used two pair of ramps. There is a problem with the ones that go uner the middle of the car and you have to make a couple of pre-ramps to raise the end high enough to get a normal ramp under.

I drive onto some pieces of timber a couple of inches thick (scaffold boards) then get the jack under the cross rails easily

I would put a thick board between the jack and chassis rails too, to spread the loading. Who knows...there may be cracks in the chassis, apart from any distortion issues. smile

Axle stands close to suspension mounting points; most likely the strongest parts of the frame ? scratchchin

I'm hoping that axle stands came into this procedure at some point.
