some questions for Winter storage

Just after a bit of advice,
Chimera will be going into hibernation soon for the Winter, just intending to use it for occasional use(as I've cained my insurance annual mileage limit in little over 6 months!)
1. Can anyone recommend a Battery booster to save the need to replace or take it out to charge?
2. Car covers, whats best? TVR offer a very cheap cover (£40) made from nylon I think?
3. Plenty of power in the garage but not attached to the house so would a dehumidifier be a good idea or is it just a gimmick? Installing central heating seems a bit extreme!

Simon i over winter my cars and the way forward for me is.
1/ Cheap trickle charger (draper) from halford its just a 12v transformer plug with black and red croc clips for battery and earth. Green light indicates its on.
2/ Dont lock car or use handbrake.
3/ Park car on coconut mats. Dont leave tyres on concrete.
4/ If its in a garage (which mine is ) only a cheap breathable cover is fine.
5/ Dimplex make a very cheap to run heater which is totally water and fire proof which is portable and very small which i place under the car. the cover acts as a insulater.
6/Get a cat they are great left in garages for a while. Mice can be a monster problem.
7/ Get the car out as often as possible you,ll be suprised how many nice days we have in winter.
8/ Keep a picture of her by your bed.

1. Battery booster - optimate/accumate/halfords/banner - have them all and all work as they say on the tin.
2. Car covers, whats best? Specialised car covers/Covercraft/Additions all worth a look but you pay for what you get.
3. Dehumidifier is a good investment - especially with the chassis problems that can result from the moisture on a TVR.
Don't forget the douvet over the bonnet
