Ok, not so much a tale as a collection of photos as I went back home over the weekend to take a few photos of my dad's 1600M and took my S3 in the process.

Out of interest - which M-Series pic do you reckon works best? I have to choose one to send off to a publication.

Haha. No, the second one is Shute Barton I'm afraid, a local stately home. The first one was taken at the farm though - having a yard is great for storing random automobiles! My old Quantum is just out of shot there amongst other things...

Beach shots look great - I'd be worried about getting stuck myself

Thanks. It's just up from where the local sailing club park their cars, so pretty compact surface, but yes there was at least "don't drive any further forward!" moment.

It was also quite handy that it was perched on the edge of a large bank, so I could shoot from below.

Seems this thread has cropped up again, here's one that's been breathed on by L4MBOLUV3R, one of PH's Photoshop wizards. smile

I have to say, and i'm being totally serious, that is the nicest olour M series the wife and i have ever seen.

I really love the shape of the M series cars and will definately be consider one to join the Chimaera.

Well done and of course the S is a very nice car too.

Yep, it is a very smart car. Believe it or not it's used fairly regularly for my mum's shopping trips and things like that!

It was fully resprayed a few years back by a local guy named Elliot Dale for less than the cost of getting a bonnet done in London! I used to deal with the show cars when I worked at Ford and I'd honestly say the paint finish on that M is better. Drives very nicely too.

I think it's that car - along with the Wedge brochures that found their way onto my bedroom wall when my parents considered swapping it for a Tasmin 2+2 - that set me on an innevitable path towards TVRdom. smile
