Well, I just sold my 2002 (52) Tuscan and now I'm looking at both Sagaris's and late T350's.

Having only ever owned one speed six engined car (The Tuscan), will I notice the power difference if I went for a T350, bearing in mind they're 3.6 ?????? Obviously the 4.0 Tuscan was rapid, but I wanted to move on ideally to a Sagaris, but my budget is more in line with a late T350.

Is the sagaris really worth the extra £10k of debt..........LOL.

Appreciate I could always have the engine rebuilt in 4.0 for when the time comes for a rebuild, but in the mean time will I notice the power difference ?????

Drove 3.6 T350C (just rebuilt) and 4 litre (rebuilt 2000 miles previous) Tuscan back to back (well, one day apart!).

Bought the Tuscan.

OK not just on performance, but it was noticable to me. T350 was fast, but didnt give that buzz and spine tingle...the Tuscan was definitely quicker and had more grunt throughout.

I think to top the Tuscan 4 litre straight line performance in a T350 you will need red rose spec or rebuilt by str8 six...failing that, a 4.3 from Power wink !!!

Yes you will notice the difference, have driven Tamora and T350 and owned a couple of 4.0 Tuscans, noticeably gruntiersmile

Hi Jim,
You can come out in mine at the next meet and see what you think.
I really like the Sag (wife doesn't) but I still can't convince myself that it is worth the extra 10K.

It depends on the gearbox & diff ratio too. (probably more).
You'd notice the difference between a 3.46 & 3.73 diff much more than the difference in power between a 3.6/4.0 with the same box combo ;-)

On the road - I don't think you would be able to tell the engine difference but really the question is whether you prefer the Sag or the T350 looks.

I found both drive very similarly.. and even found the T350 to rev quicker.

Thanks Rev.............. I'm taking it all in. Tuscan was collected by her new owner today, and now I'm TVR less.

Missing her already...............LOL.

The guy you sold it to is well pleased. Don't know how he gets in and out of it though! He has more chance of keeping up with my Cerb now.

I am the new owner of Jim's car & it is superb very interesting to compare with my griff 500 the Tuscan is more civilised & composed & the engine response phenominal. Mooey cant get away from the griff in that old Cerby no chance now. By the way Jim i found a piece of chassis not polishe to a mirror finish above the diff can i have my money back. Good look with the search for the new car

Yes.. without a doubt its worth it smile

I toyed with the idea of a T350 or a Sagaris and one test drive told me that I needed the Sagaris (mainly on style / looks and standard set-up) - spent a good year saving for the difference and looking for a good example...

You might notice a bit of difference between 3.6 and 4.0, I think you`ll notice the difference between a 3.54 and 3.9 diff quicker than the engines..
