Saw a great Tuscan at the weekend, one Carbon Black 2002 with full rebuild under warranty at racing green, very close to leaving a deposit there and then but have to work one more detail out...

Then i arrange to see a t350 thats stunning and had a rebuild at TVR power - and is still running in.

Both in budget and both gorgeous....what would you do?

T350 here can open the bonnet only reason I would not go for a Tuscan so when it bursts in to flames all you do is watch Can’t get a extinguisher to engine bay , scary stuff.

all night i have debated this in my head (dont think i slept a wink!)....the sunshine is an attraction...makes the Tuscan more of a fun car - an event. Coupe T350 cant take the roof off? But - more focussed drivers car?

hmmm!!!!

Clearly the answer to your dilemma is the T350T. I would suggest a Tamora, but then you will get everyone saying it has got a big arse. punch

I'm sorry I normally resist posting to half the junk I read in here. But if your choose a car on being able to open the bonnet I'm clearly baffled!! The tuscan has gaps around scuttle pan you could fire an extinguisher into, but really a 1kg powder cylinder is going to do sweat f all unless you were to catch it at the moment of spark. Ad opening the bonnet aint the best idea anyway, hmm lovely oxygen for the fire when you lift up the bonnet.

Totally upto to you on car choice Rob, roof and boot space for me swing it in favour of a Tuscan.

I havent owned either but have had plenty of TVRs in the past. personally I find the Tuscan shape a little too contrived, however I love the lines of the T350.

However its purely personal opinion.

I love the T350, but it felt a little cramped when I test drove it. (I am 6th4" though.)

Seeing the 350C tonight so i guess its at that point the decision comes!

Its the sunshine bit that gets me to flip from one to the other, both cars are stunning, Tuscan maybe a little less subtle(!) If any TVR is subtle. 350 has classier lines...and im told handles better.

Had a Cerb before and loved it so maybe a coupe is the way to go!!

hah, what a decision to have!

Clearly i have rubbed you up the wrong way, not my intension at all mealy my opinion on why I would not buy a car that I need to get a tool kit out to open the bonnet.

If you go on the car club site look how many have gone up in flames before i personally would like to have a fighting chance at stopping my pride and joy going up but hey each to their own you poke around your little gaps at the end of the day the underside of the engine is exposed so lots of O2 there.
This is my opinion, don’t care if any one takes notice

WELL.....
I have gone for the Tuscan :bigrin:bounce

T350 didnt have the drama that the Tuscan does cool , just didnt feel as TVRish, if that makes any sense? Not quite as much of an animal, not as much presence. Also - not as much grunt as the 4 litre Tuscan either driving ....

So...just agreed to buy, now...please tell me....how do i sleep between now and pick up day??? woohoo

4 sleeps to go...oh dear coffee

Very nice position to be in and in my opinion the right decision made.

I have to admit to staring at the Tuscan ads every day driving

god choice, has anyone else thought this, In a T350 your vision is forced downwards out of the side window due to the shape of the door frame whereas in a Tuscan you view is higher, this gives the impression in a T350 that you are more enclosed and therefore feel claustrophobic?

I totally disagree!!

how many Tuscans have burst into flames!!!! and even if it did would a puny little fire extinguisher make any diffrence. PLEASE dont dont base your purchase decision on this info.

Never feel claustrophobic in mine, but agree that you have to slouch down a bit to see out the side window fully. Not a problem though.

Called ina t Hexham Horseless carriages yesterday for a part for my cerb and there was a gorgeous dark blue metallic T350 in there...If I wasnt married I think I would have been adding to my TVR collection...and my debt...

I have driven a 350 and been in a few tuscans...350 a much tidier handler...not to say tuscans are bad just not as chuckable / nimble?

Have fun deciding...its fair to say that alot of these cars will have had modifications - including suspension and geo mods so I would say drive as many as you can and speak to owners at your local TVRCC meeting?

If i were a tuscan owner the first thing i would invest in would be somthing along these lines but hey thats just me http://www.lifeline-fire.co.uk/fireextinguisher/sf...
I don’t care if you disagree its FACT I could dig up more but it’s there it’s just something to think about. Sorry to spoil your thread i hope you enjoy your new beast and i think waiting is the worst part. Good things come to.........
