Can only re-itterate the above. Shane is a very helpful, friendly guy who knows his stuff, but doesn't charge the earth.
Just had my 30000 mile service done (set price) and brakes checked, rear pads changed & handbrake tension corrected. Absolutely superb service, and price, couldn't be happier.

aha you are why he can't come to my house to fix sick Griff until next Tuesday.
Met him Tuesday night and he is very nice (ladies note!),
Mind you he tried to flog me new brakes while I was there.
All I want is to be able to start the bloody thing.
May be drive it a little?
do you know how to find his garage? - it is a bit hidden (if you need directions let me know).
Will have to drag him along to the next Manchester run. See how crazy we all are.

Oh, and can someone tell me what's involved in stiffening up a set of AVOs - I know I asked Shane to set them at their softest setting but in hindsight maybe not the wisest move - it bounces around all over the place
and positively tries to commit 'harrycarry' if I hit a dip at speed (of which there are just a few on my local Pennine roads!).
Can they be manually adjusted or is it an up in the air, wheels off and get "the special tool"... or am I best just waiting until I take it in for it's service in a month or so?
