Hi guys, when I clean the car, obviously the cans are really easy to clean, but has anyone got any recommendations on how to best clean or what to use to clean the main part of the exhaust under the back part of the car which the cans are attached to

thanks

I wipe down with rag with diesel on it, to get rid of any thick stuff and tar (maybe tar remover). Then Scotchbrite to remove tarnishing, then Meguiars metal polish buffed up with my Black&Decker wizard. Haven't done it thoroughly for 6 months, next on the to do jobs list. Any old excuse to post a pic. biggrin

Now that's just plain showing off........! ! ! !

I'll have to see what I can come back with........LOL.

Great to see a car in that condition. Someone on the same wave length as me. I know people call it obsessive, but what the hell, it keeps me out of trouble.

But Gloworm is right..... Diesel will get rid off all the tar spots, which they seem to collect a lot of, then I use wire wool dipped in some cheap car polish, and then buffed up with a cloth and car polish. I think mine's seen a few more miles on it than "Gloworms" but they do come up well as they're stainless steel. It just depends how much spare time you have on your hands as to what level you want.

I haven't started on the engine bay yet, but it's the next thing on the books, but as the decent weathers almost here (Hopefully). I just want to drive it for a while.

Nice colour scheme you have (Bearing in mind the cars colour).

Thinking about removing as many ancillaries as I can and making a start on them.

My dad used to tell me "It's not what you spend on the car, it's the time you spend on it"...............

Here's my last project which I owned for 15 years.
