7" lsd can the lsd part be fitted to a 7 1/2 " diff

as title - I have the possibility of an lsd out of a 4x4 cossy which is a 7"

can the lsd be removed and fitted to my 7 1/2" crown wheel/pinion ?

I was actually miss sold a 7 1/2" diff which was supposed to be an lsd but when I removed the rear casing found it is normal free diff with planet gears

Hi Mick

Acording to Steve Heaths S Bible the best route is to get the rear half of the 7" propshaft and fit it to the front U/J (assuming same sizes apparently the sierra had all sorts of combinations) on your prop shaft.

BTW I've seen references to 7" and 7 1/2" diffs a few times now but arnt sure where you take the measurement from had assumed the flange at the front buts now I have stripped mine its obviously not that

found out that it is the size of the crown wheel and the two dont interchange

What LSD are you after for which diff. I will look to see if I have one.
