Only in a TVR...

Pulled over from the outside lane to the middle lane today to let a bike pass me.
He seemed to be taking ages to get by, so I looked out the drivers window to see him along side. He looked at me then did the Italian 'kiss the fingers thing' as I sign (I hope!) of bellisimo!
Then he popped a wheely at 70 mph and sped off.
Made my day.

I had to nip to Tesco today so I took the Sag to Catterick. Swinging out of the car park a lime rolled out of my bag onto the floor and then under the passenger seat. As I needed it for the zest I didn't want to leave it there so I pulled over in a bus stop. As I jumped out to run round to the passenger side I saw that a bus was coming. I waved in apology to the driver as I ran back round to the drivers door. He then sounded his horn. I turned round expecting to receive (and return) some invective and he was smiling and making a gesture implying that he wanted to hear some loud pedal as I pulled off. I was happy to oblige...

We were making progress over Snake Pass one very early one Sunday morning -in the Chim - when we were joined by a group of five or six big bikes..
No other vehicles were around , so much Hoonage ensued
.
Culminated in the bikes doing a Fly Past ,i counted at least three of them on the back wheel as they f
ked off into the distance.....
I would defy Anyone, with petrol in there veins, not to feel the Emotion ..

..Had a couple of bikes follow me last summer. When I pulled in, one went passed, turned to look back and shouted 'great car mate'. He almost crashed while doing so, but managed to stay on.
I notice lots of cars drop their windows to hear the TVR rumble as I pass, and mines not that loud!

When i was younger, every time i was lucky enough to be behind a TVR i would tag along/catch up just to watch and listen hoping one day i would own one
Dont always assume someone up your chuff is there for a race

Some of us owners ride bikes too

Stu

Ok i havent got a TVR at the moment, but soon!! (and i have owned a Cerby so that counts in my book!) I always nod to a blue tam on the way to work, pass it quite regularly, think he thinks im mad...
Any serious petrolhead likes bikes and cars! But i have yet to find a bike that holds as much road presence as a TVR!!!
A Suzuki Hayabusa with race cans is pretty close. Spits and snarls and throws flames whilst banging on over run....... Then u go to it an hour after a ride and it wont start.Lol. How much more like my Chim can it get
PS.Havent got the bike now but wish i stilldid. Complemented the mentality of owning a tvr perfectly.
Steve.
