Hi Guys,

I'm coming down to London in my Cerbera next week, and I'll be staying near Tower Bridge / Tower Hill.

Can anyone recommend any routes / runs for a shortish evening blast that takes in something interesting, e.g. bits of road where I can go over 30mph, blasts through tunnels, something with a few bends, anything fun?

I'm looking for routes that start near Tower of London, if possible.

Cheers guys,

Mike

rofl I take it this is your first visit to London, then? Frankly, the only two good things to come out of London are the M11 northbound and West Ham United thumbup

If you go UNDER 30 you'll be run over by a bus. hehe

I learned to drive in the Smoke, and everything up North now seems like slow motion. frown

Not much chance of over 30 anywhere near central London. And by 'evening' assume you mean 3am, because I think it stays fairly busy.

Tunnels though, oh there are a few. Rotherhithe tunnel is not too far away from Tower Hill, scameras at both ends mind, 20 mph is the speed limit, but none through the middle smile A bit further out is the Blackwall tunnel (head for the Dome). For both these you need to head east from Tower Hill.

Whilst you are out there, the Limehouse Link tunnel is ok, cameras inside there though. And if you can find it, there is an underground roundabout under Canary Wharf area.

Black Wall Tunnel?

Rotherhite Tunnel?

Tunnel By Hyde Park Corner heading to/from the picadilly direction? (not sure of its name)

might be a few to get you started?

I still have the TOMTOM files for Thunder in the Tunnels 3 from November if you'd like them as a route?

Cheers Guys! Been working in London every week for the last 18 months, just wanted to show some of the lads the car, and have a bit of fun in the evening (e.g. 7 - 9 pm). Usually do the trip on the train, thought that a trip in the Cerb would be OK.

Ok I'm not expecting open rolling hills and countryside, but a few urban dual carridgeways with some tunnels? Got to be a few.

I haven't got a Tom Tom - but thanks for the offer.

Maybe I need to get something to warn me of all the bl00dy cameras tho'....
