Engine now in and ready for Paul and the Austec team to start it, unfortunately rear drop link is broken. It was the adjustable type, apparantly they are not supplied anymore and static ones recomended. Any advice welcome.....

What car is this for? Does it look like this?

If so then PM me. I can supply spares or complete units as needed.

They are still available - they have never been out of production since I started making them in 2005. So I am a little confused here if it is one of mine.

Steve, thank you for your advise.
Goods recieved today and will be fitted according to your instructions.
Really is very refreshing to find somebody who seems to do business like minded, hopefully in the near future I will be able to return.

looking forward to taking the car to Austec on wednesday, see you soon, griffgrowl maybe?
or maybe Le Man, I dont know anybody but I guess I will find you.

Thanks Steve

I've just noticed that i have ripped both my SH droplinks almost completely from the wishbone! Took the wishbones off and welded a thicker mounting bracket to them. Is the orginial supposed to be so flimsy by design? The car does feel a lot more squat and rolls less at the rear. Need to get used to the handling again! Verdicts out if i like it or not...

Did exactly the same thing to my Griff, found out the plates that are just flat and tacked to the tubes on the wishbones are classed as the mk1 versions,Adrian Venn sent me some info and pics of the updated mk2 versions he can supply, have extra material on the sides to help prevent the cracking and plitting again,i had simple rods added to the sides to stiffen mine up a tad...

mine broken....
