Bilt Hamber chassis wax
Discussion
Just finished treating the chassis on my S. Body on and lots of crawling underneath. Picked all the loose coating off, wire brushed and sanded down then treated with Hydrate 80 rust converter.
Two coats of Hammerite. Then started the wax treatment. Had heard good things about Bilt Hamber, a British company on various forums so thought I'd give their products a go.
Used the new under body wax Dynax UB which went on very well using a brush, quite thin but cured fairly soon to a black finish. Left this a few days then went round with a second coat on all the most vulnerable bits i.e. outriggers/trailing arms.
Have just completed the job with a can of the Dynax 50 cavity wax. Comes in a 750ml tin and has a brilliant attachment 600mm long with a brass 360 nozzle, which worked very well getting above the outriggers and inside the trailing arms. Used a can of each for the job at a cost of £25 + post.
Delighted with the product and very happy to get the job finished.
