I am pleased to report that in just a month since hearing of our current Editor's planned retirement, the TVRCC Committee headed by Chairman Simon Lacey have succeeded in finding a new team to edit TVR Sprint. The team of 4 will be headed by Derek Smith and will take over from the January issue. Full details are available at www.tvrcc.com

We would like to call on all members to give the new team their full support and start submitting articles for publication to give them the very best opportunities for an exciting start to the new year.

Ralph, well done in getting this sorted and good luck to the new team. Also, mindful that you edited Sprint for many a good year, (and did you get a word of thanks for it...) but I reckon the Club should put a few words of thanks to Tony on the next edition, I think it is agreed that he was dedicated to the job this last two years. Isn't this a internal club matter, and hence should it be discussed on the club's site?

Best Wishes to Derek and team, hope they can also find a sub editor for t'North - anyone.

Hope to see both Tony and Ralph on Sunday at the Chain Ferry, www.tvrcc-dorset.co.uk

Yes probably. But it is a good news item for all TVR owners as well as the TVRCC members because of the knock on effect of a strong organisation for enthusiasts keeping TVR information flowing, up to date technical stuff and general help as well as engendering a great spirit amongst Tivvers. It is complememntary to, not in competition with, PH and PH is found by many to be a very accessible source of a wide variety of news and views including this.

I think that Sprint is one of the best magazines of its type - other marque owners who I have shown it to all agree. This is largely due to Sir Tony for his commitment and the fact that succession has been secured by the teamwork in TVRCC assures good prospects for the future.

For those that moan about Sprint (often hand in hand with the annual subscription cost) remember that TVRCC is NOT JUST SPRINT. However Sprint is the public and promotional face and everyone involved should be proud

That's good news Ralph, and congrats to all who worked to make it happen so quickly.
The new team will have my support and I will continue to submit items for publication in SPRINT.
Good luck to all.

Think I've had a pint or seven there. Is that the Corfe one or the Studland one or elsewhere?

Had a couple of nice quiet roads over the summer on the Isle of Purbeck. Well recommended is the back road from Corfe to Studland and the road from Creech Steeple over the hill and down past Blue Pool.....

Ahhhhhhhh
