I weighted my 18 inch spiders with the tyre and it was 22lbs.. in contract my 15 inch seac wheels were 16 lbs.

22 lbs, wow thats much lighter thn I thought. I was under the impression these are heavy wheels hence why people swap for sp12 etc, I know the have a better et and width, but I was looking to reduce unsprung mass.

At 22lbs they are as light with tires as most alloys at 18'' on their own confused

I have a T350 which had different size tyres front and rear ..

I'm pretty sure the fronts were 22 lbs and the wider rears were 23.5 lbs or there abouts.

Recently weighed my spiders to compare with the OZ superleggeras I have fitted

Front spider with tyre 18.3kg

Front oz with tyre 15.1kg

Couldnt be bothered to do rear but wouldnt expect much difference to fronts.

Would suggest that "reverend" might be weighing in kilos not pounds.

Hope that helps

22lbs with tyres can't be right. From memory the SP12 wheels are 9Kg without tyres and they are 3Kg lighter than the 18" spiders (12Kg's is approx 26lbs).

22 and 23.5 sound more like tyre pressures than wheel weights

did sounds super light to me, and the other figures quoted make more sense. Thats cool the wheels I was looking at are 18kg with tyres, so no saving on the spiders.

Have my eye on some 18'' that are 8.5 kg without tyres, so will prob go for them smile

Mainly Jap stuff,
R34 skyline wheels are good, light and strong, just need ET checking forst, still trying to find out settings of sp12v wheels as they are "optimum" im led to believe..

Mazda too, anything rx7 etc

I could easily be mistaken .. it was a while back and I tried to find my posts of the time but could not find them..

Sorry if giving duff info frown

My mission at the time was just to compare the weights of 15 inch vs 18 inch and to see how spiders looked on a SEAC..

18's much heavier and SEAC looksed aweful with spiders.. IMHO.

Easy mistake to make reverend and i am sure your right that spiders would not suit the SEAC.
