Hello Everyone!

At last we can announce the event you have all been waiting for...ROAR 09...ALL CHIMAERA and other TVR owners are welcome.

This year's event is being held South Central of the UK and now have a venue.

Before announcing the information on this event, Carmen and I just want to let you know that sourcing a venue (in between operations on my neck and work) for this event has been a major challenge to say the least. We needed to match up three key elements: location in the south, cost effectiveness and size. Many of the venues we visited around the south of the UK could only offer us one of the three elements and there was one venue which would have been perfect, however due to legal restrictions with setting up marquees or problems with local neighbours regarding noise, we could not proceed with that one! Believe it or not, many were not interested as they were saving spaces or were booked up for weddings!

Well, we are delighted that now we have paired up with the DeVere Venues group and booked the Staverton Park hotel just outside Daventry (http://www.deverevenues.co.uk/find-venue/staverton-park.html) which is close to London, easy access via M1, M40, M6 and M25.

We can confirm the dates for this years event are Friday evening 4th Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 09. We are hoping for continued support from DeVere for all our Roar events so that we can guarantee continued advantages to our visitors. The reason for choosing this date was to avoid clashing with some other TVR events taking place in July and August.

We are going to be creating a website where you will be able to view updates as well as details on accomodation (£25 per person per night with breakfast reduced by more than half the normal cost), venue facilities as well as the weekend's agenda.

SO WHAT IS THIS YEAR's ROAR ALL ABOUT?
Well, as promised to all Chim owners and other TVR owners that faithfully took part in Roar 2008, we want to try and make this year's event even more interactive and enjoyable with the key focus on having fun and raising money for a needy cause.

This year, Roar will have a very clear theme...'It's a Knockout/TVR Olympics'. This is where regional teams from local clubs or social groups will come along and have lots of fun raising money for charity. If that is not your thing, that's OK because there will be lots to do and watch during the weekend as well as a black tie dinner dance and charity auction.

And for those of you who are available, the event will kick-off on the Friday evening with a gatherin of enthusiasts in the hotel's restaurant followed by a drink or more at the bar!!

The venue includes a golf course and driving range, as well as a swimming pool and gym facilities.

Thank you for being patient with us...good things come to those that wait!!

And if you are interested in being involved to help out in the lead up to the event as well as over the weekend or if you do want to use this as a great opportunity to promote your business, both on the website and over the weekend, please email angus.macdougall@yahoo.co.uk.

So to end, we will be in touch again this week with full details and tconfirmation of the dates in September.

Best regards

The ROAR Team

Since Chimaeras were made for golfers... I'll arrange a Golf Competition (if you wish) if we can get times on the course. Golf isn't part of the Olympics yet, but it might be in the future.

Keith

That may or may not be one of the challenges?

However all will be revealed nearer the time first we need to get some teams in place. I promise full details will become available very shortly.

If you are interested in helping or putting a team together then let me know send me contact details.

Don’t tell everyone but I own a Griff now and yes all TVRs owner /PHers are welcome.

The chimaera owners are a real social bunch. Last year was great fun with a good crowd which include owners of Griff, Cerbs and Tuscans

This is about raising money for a good cause and having lots of fun in the process.
