Background and pics here: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=63564&f=8&h=0 but I thought I'd open it up to the whole TVR crowd seeing as they are all build from the same stuff...

Anyhow - need to get a rough idea or repair costs before deciding whether it's worth blowing £450 excess plus 2 x no claims bonuses...

From your photos it is difficult to see the damage to the wing. I think that MikeyT may be correct for full repair cost. Stick some tape on to keep the exposed fibres dry and enjoy the car in the meantime.

I'm no kind of expert but based on having work done myself recently I would have thought you're up for £1,000+ for a proper job. Contact a few repair places and give them the link to the pics and they'll give you a rough idea over the phone.

Pete,
It's not as bad as I imagined, although still a pi$$er, I would imagine MikeyT's guess is not too far out it doesn't look like any panels need replacing I would imagine it can be repaired.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Bad luck!
Had similar in my old Griffith.
I think it cost £1800.
B*tch who crashed into the back gave me wrong no. plate. I noted down correct plate, but the car STILL could not be traced so I had to pay for the bugger.
Thought you had a Black Tuscan though?

Sorry, not seen the pics but I have just had a repair to my griff.

Damage was, nearside headlamp pod knocked backwards. Stress cracks around opening due to the force of breaking the glue bonding the pod to the wing.

Repair included repairing cracks, new pod perspex cover, refit pod into opening. Respray front end (also did the stone chips in the price).

Total cost was about £1100 so I claimed. Claim was "non fault" but with "3rd party unknown" as it was done in a carpark.

Just had my renewal and it's had very little effect on the premium.

Looking at your pic's, I would estimate about £1500.00 worth of damage.
