More power needed?
Discussion
Yes, possibly, but then mine only a 4.0!
The problem I find is your so intent on what is happening around you that looking at the speedo is not too much of a priority, (mmmm that doesn't sound right!), when accelerating up a slip road say, looking at the speedo is not too much of a priority - better?
Anyway, the point at which you look down thinking you need just a little more and see the speedo registering 3 figures and you're only 3/4 the way along said slip road brings it all back in perspective.
More power????
More power? Oh go on then!

Yep, been there all too often!!!

A few years ago I used to live in Wolverhampton, and there was this excellent bit of road there, a T-junction with traffic lights that turned right onto a 200m bit of duel carriageway. I used to live that turning, especially if I had a passenger in the car, and there was a car (just one) in front of me at the lights.
The lights turn green…
The car in front turns right…
You turn right…
The car in front pull into the left hand lane…
…and you floor it…
Childish? You bet ya!!!
Do I look as if I care?

Definitely. I usually feel that my Chimaera is "brisk" when I'm driving it, but when my girlfriend's at the helm it's scarily quick. Mind you, I think that when she drives my 106 GTI, so maybe it says more about me than anything else.

How often do you guys put your right foot to the floor and think "christ I need more power", or does this not happen in such quick cars???![]()
This perhaps isn't a particularly relevant question with this much rain about at the mo, but hey, I was curious...
Never enough power. Everything is relative. Have got 408 large horse hiding in the boot and I've seriously considered booking it in at RUF....
Never enough, until you can't :
a) breath
b) see the road.

I put my right foot down and think "Christ I need more traction!" I've had my Tuscan a fortnight, and was surprised when the rear wheels started spinning at between 60 and 70 after accelerating from about 30 with no wheel spin at all! It's happened a couple of times now - it's almost like you get a turbo boost at about 4000 revs!

My God, that takes me back to...KNIGHT RIDER...press the button on the dash, and KIT, little red lights flickering backwards and forwards...leaps into the air, jumping cars, trucks, rivers in a single bound! Ahhh, memories

Too much power? Never!
