I've finally managed to get all of the pieces to replace the head unit for the Chim. When I had a proper look I realised that the TVR connectors are not nice ISO ones but some odd connector that won't plug nicely into my HU. So, I've got to get some female ISO connectors for the power and the speakers.

Problem is I don't know which wires are which. I can work out which connector block is the speaker and which is the power (speakers have more wires) and I could work out which cables are which speakers through trial and error, but I don't want to try that with anything powered and blow my nice new radio.

So, anyone have a wiring diagram for the radio wiring? Or at least tell me which wires are for what by colour?

Thanks gang.

Thanks David. I need to know which is which. As I said, I've worked out that the 9 pin is the speaker socket but I don't know which wires go to which speakers. It's the same for the 5 pin. I know that the ignition wire is there and acouple of others but I'd like to know which is which before I fry the stereo

Any ideas?

If TVR have wired the same as Land Rover then;
speaker plug: looking at plug with 4pins at the top left to right. right rear +, right front +, left front +, left rear + . Neg along bottom rr, rf, lf, lr.
Power looking at plug with 2pins at the top.Left top permanant, next is chassis. Bottom row of three, left ignition, middle illumination and right is electric aerial trigger. Of course TVR may have wired it completely different so somebody else !!!

Thanks mate, At least with the power I can wire directly to the battery and test the V drop on the ignition and so on. Now all I've got to do is get to Halfwits and get some ISO female connectors

Thanks again,

Rob

I use around 1000 a month so if you wanted one pair, let me know. Mine i added a relay so if required you can listen to the radio without ignition on, of course it still goes off normally.
