Not heard of that. Do you mean JP? If so, it's loud and poppy!

They're supposed to be good. They certainly look nice and the people I know with them on the cars don't have noise issues at Tracks either.

I know that Nickccc, TC and BossCerbera all have them fitted and without issues as far as I know. I think someone was experiencing a few problems, but don't know the detail. I would probably fit one if I could afford it - my Cerbera is just too loud at the moment! tongue out

That was me. I had the full system fitted with the linked decat pipes but was noisy at 109db. It turns out the 98db claim is on a car with cats, but I only found this out after I'd spent a fortune getting my car checked over completely as my car was blaimed. GrahamN has just had one fitted and kept his cats to get onto trackdays. The other issue I had was that the tailpipes were out by 12mm and so hit/damaged my rear vallence. I also had scorch marks from the close fit. Again I was told this was down to my car, but the dimensions were identical to every other cerbera I checked.

Despite SP having my car for a week nothing was ever resolved and I took them to court with the help of my local trading standards and won, but didn't get my money back as SP closed and Matt moved.

In all honesty, it depends on what you want. On heavily tuned cars some have reported good results and the noise note is good. I think a couple of years ago it was probably the best around but things have moved on and I believe others have better systems available or in the pipeline. It's heavy and compromises road clearance compared to other systems, but is similar in dimensions to the original TVR rear box.

Personally I went with an ACT system as a replacement and have been extremely happy with the quality and service from ACT

I know it was you smile. I was trying to present a balanced and honest view without starting another thread around your SP exhaust experiences (no offence intended of course smile), so I didn't name you.

It's one of those things - if you (as in one) ask enough people a question, you can often stack the odds in favour of the answer you want to believe, it just helps to justify it the decision smile. (That's what I do anyway! wink.

Glad you now have a solution you're happy with though smile. Happy and Cerbera should always be in the same sentence tongue out.

I don't know the in's and out's, but I believe that you can still purchase an SP Exhaust, SP12's etc. etc. if you wish and certainly Matt is contactable for work you need doing. Since SP as we all know it ceased to be at Silverstone, I have had some work done to the Cerbera.

Ooops - what's going on here with this quoting lark???? confused

Don't know what you call that.... still operating, closed down.....???? tongue out

nuts

SP as a business has closed. Matts started again and has forwarded the SP phone line to him. He's stil using the SP name for the products as it sounds better.

None of that of course gets me my money back frown
