A friend of mine, who is a fireman, attended an accident in Hulbert Road, Waterlooville yesterday involving a blue Griffith. The driver and his female passenger had to be cut free. My friend thinks the driver's name was Rich.

I am sure they must be known here. I hope they are ok.

(There are some photos of the car, which I won't post, but can e-mail to the owner if he wants to PM me)

I've had more info from my mate - he says driver was alone in the car and the OH turned up afterwards. I can't see a license plate in the pictures and he can't remember if it was a personal plate or not. He was certain about the name though. Apparently the car was stopped from going the whole way down the bank by the tree. Driver was conscious when pulled out but in a lot of pain.

As the OH wasnt in with him, he could have just picked it up on his way home? there's a few blue griffs in the classifieds in the not so distant vicinity

From the pics (taken in poor light), it looks like Estoril blue - pretty much like the one advertised at Fernies.

(Way, way too much speculation!)

Hi All,

The Blue Griff is owed By a friend called Richard, apperently he has sustained 10 Broken Ribs, after being cut from the car. He's on pain relief and hopes to be out of QA this saturday. Please keep the photo's I'm sure he will want them, as the car is his pride and Joy, as with all TVR owners, and those with plastic cars!

Oh Blimey. Best wishes for a swift recovery to Richard. Like Graham I cracked a rib (karting) and that was bad enough - 10 broken must be excruciating. Ow ow ouch! All the best.

That might have been me - I brought Max to a West Sussex TVRCC meet a couple of months ago. Are you a W.sussex member?
