Yes, chaps. I found a fuel pump that I could fill up with the pump on full trigger and it didn't cut out once until the tank was full!

Where, you may ask? Shell station on the A1/A411 roundabout (Arkley/Elstree). Pump number 9.

Its funny, I can fill the Griff on full trigger every time but when I was driving Johno’s and tried it spat petrol all down the back of the car, still it needed a clean

There is a trick with the Chimaera. If you put the nozzle in normally then it is indeed a very slow filler.

If you wiggle the nozzle a bit until it suddenly drops in a few cm further then you can fill at full trigger every time.

This is getting like the Cadbury's Creme Egg ads (eh Burriana?)

Hence:

'I stick mine in at an angle and run it down the side'.

I found that it can be done all the time if standing on the left with the nozzle in at 90 deg to the car.

Took a while to suss.

I found that my Lexus SC430 courtesy car is far more difficult to get full flow with than the Griff. And that was at Shell. Not just TVRs!

Yeah, but who ended up doing it !!!!!

I have found recently that more of the Sheel pumps are easier to get full triigger on, or I'm just getting better at adapting more filling style
