Pikey, You're forgetting. These forums are here for people who are scared to ring up TVR, to have a pop and make out like they know what they're talking about

Well done Pikey. TVR is a fantastic marque, and I love 'em! I understand from my local dealer that even though staff have been laid off, the factory intend concentrating on Tamora production as a priority. Excellent, 'cos I've ordered one, and I reckon it's great. TVR is currently more successful than it's ever been, and it's thanks to Peter Wheeler, so let's praise Caesar, not bury him. Without him, this talking shop wouldn't even exist, and if there's a blip in fortune at the moment, then reverse the trend by buying a TVR, then they might have more money to build in the changes you want. Personally, I'll take them, warts and all, , they're unique exotic, fast, noisy, gorgeous etc..etc.. everything a sports acr should be! So stop whingeing, dudes, and have fun!

I do agree and love TVR's but people can sometimes believe their own hype and think they can do no wrong. As long as PW is not blind to this fact then TVR will continue to be Britain's biggest British car maker. Just as long as this Caeser doesn't turn out to be a Nero.

Just wait until the end of March. 2 Speed 12s, 2 Tuscan R's and 40ish Tuscans battling around Silverstone. Everyone will be singing the praises of what a remarkable company it is then!

Apart from the 140 workers laid off! £75 will hardly get them to the circuit for the 1st race.

well said pikey!!!!, all i ever seem to read here is moans and growns!! and dealers being knocked for there failings YOU FORGET THE FACT THAT YOU ARE BUYING A BRITISH HAND BUILT SPORTS CAR,REMEMBER? NO?. well let me be the first to actually praise a dealer for there hard work and efforts to keep me a happy and informed tvr owner even with the fact there job is made very difficult by the lack of support from the factory. i now have owned two trevors the first a 4.5 chimp and now a tuscan, and yes they have had problems (the tuscan proving to be more so)but my dealer told me from the start that the ownership will be a two way relationship with both the owner and the dealership helping each other, and understanding the problems and frustrations from both sides of the fence. my dealer i cannot praise enough for there help, efforts and professionalisum!. would it be out of turn for me to put the dealership name on this site? as i strongly suggest them as a service centre. please let me know! ps- stop your childish ways by getting personal naming and knocking individuals. thanks the pleasure was yours

Sure there are a combination of reasons that TVR sales have declined. Maybe PW has misjudged things recently. But TVR are great cars, and most of the alternatives are just too bland. I cancelled my Tuscan order when they changed the spec and increased the price. I think the move was ill timed, and confused a lot of people as to the direction they were taking. After looking at various alternatives, including the 911 I've just re confirmed my order. Even the major players make mistakes. BMW Z3, Audi TT etc - and how anyone can believe that Rover will be a success is beyond my comprehension. I for one hope TVR can continue making individual BRITISH sportscars and wish them well.
