It seems nicely priced. But with every car go take a look have a drive inspect the best you can. Take the tvr buying guide with you or check it before you go. Listen for any bumps or bangs and make sure your happy spending that sort of money on it. Always look at having between £2000-£4000 left to one side for any parts or fixes you may require. check service history for what was done last time on car. And if i was you i would take it to a really good TVR service centre and get it serviced straight away so you know where you stand. Also check prices of other tuscans around the same mileage etc and see how the price compares. Afraid apart from knowing who the owner was and maybe some history on the car its up to you to check the car best you can so you don't end up with a big bill.
...Story finished hope you join the TVR Club and hope it puts a smile on your face
Number 1 rule! Don't just jump in because the price is right. check it over
Good Luck

Hmmm......nice with a reliable V8.

Thats just silly money....if a Tuscan is what rocks yer boat do it. Even if a rebuild is on the cards (which in all honesty is never too far away) go for it.
As stated you can even get a decent v8 in there
AJP Tusc (that's sex wee time)
Also bear in mind if the sellers asking that for it, then they're more than likely skint and need a quick buck....go in with reddies a grand cheaper, be obnoxious and throw it on the bonnet and watch his eyes.
Good luck.

Looks like a scam to me, it don't need to be that cheap.
sadly in the current environment, if you are desperate to sell, it probably does need to be that price, it's 7 years old, large engined, probably starting to show outrigger corrosion, and as you all say on here you need to budget 6-7k for a rebuild , so actually people would need to have 15k to buy it. Starts to look a little less attractive then......I paid less than that for mine, I doubt its the mintist example but it is mechanical sound, has 32k miles and a recentish rebuild. It had a few issues, heater fan not working, passenger window confused and washers not working, this meant i could really hammer the price down and get what i think was an absolute bargain, issues are now sorted and it only cost me £15 for the new washer pump.

Issues ?I thought they came as standard.

I never would have considered that myself, but that's probably the most intelligent thing anyone has said on ph for ages. A good observation! All the Cerbs and Tuscans will be getting to that age now wont they. So a three tone car (flip flop & rust) and with a dodgey engine too.How about a nice little 5 liter Rover unit then. Would it fit?

As to engines, RV8 (much as I love them) would have to be a backward step IMO.
Has to be an AJP or modern Chevy.

I know someone who sold a 4.5 Cerb for that money about 2 years ago.
Basically a sound car. It had a few issues that maybe put some buyers off, but nothing a good service and some TLC wouldn't have sorted.
He started at a proper price, but his business was in trouble, and when it didn't sell, he had to get rid of quick.
Had I been able to raise the money quickly, I would have had it myself. Someone got a bargin.

There's been Cerebras sold around that price lately. I guess the market is depressed and if you need to sell...
Precisely why I'm hanging on to mine. I was going to sell up and save for something newer but its really not worth it, I'd be lucky to get between 11k and thats with more history than you can shake a stick at and a recent-ish rebuild.I'll probably keep it forever now to be honest. that way depreciation no longer matters!
