TVR Registered Designs with pics!
Discussion
I found these looking on the Intellectual property office website for something else, well you just have to put TVR into everything don't you? Maybe these have turned up before I don't know.
LINK
Follow the link - then click on each of the Design 2060061 / Design 2060062 / Design 2060063 links
Then click on view images.
When the picture comes up for each design there is a choice of 3 or 4 other pics you can select at the top.
I didn't try very hard but couldn't make the pics display on here.

you can see how the Griff Speed 6 dash design morphed into the pod on the Tuscan...
And also many similarities to the Cerbera cockpit..Didnt like it much though, I thought the pod needed a 'HOOD'.
But, Yes, it was transitional.

It is not often you get to exchange words with the designer of your cars interior this is just one more reason why TVR ownership is so unique.. I always thought that the Cerbera had the right mix of new and old in the interior I thought the instrumentation in the Tuscan being digital detracted slightly from the old school TVR charm if that makes sense..
First off
Peter Wheeler MUST take the credit for the Cars, HE ultimately made all the decisions to go ahead with the designs, and was responsible for most of the original ideas.
We had lots of heated debates about design and it usually ended up with something totally different from what we started off with.
This was a healthy process and anyone could imput into the design provided the idea could fly and was fitting to the purpose.
Unfortunately its not the case in big companies with lots of RED TAPE and bulls
t getting in the way of decision making and getting on with the job.
If we'd had more people like him then we'd still have a British Car Industry.
He was a bit of a tight git though - Iv STILL never driven a TVR!!
