Guys, just a new thread with a heads up for you.

All going well but.....

******** 6 PLACES TO FILL ***********

Big TVR presence last time so come on!!

MORE DETAILS HERE:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=65&h=&t=58608

In short and for those of you that havent been or heard. It is...

- Exclusive use (all day)of a very wide 2 mile straight runway & circuit

- Electronic Top Speed recording

- A collection of widespread exotica (all kinds of porkers, ferraris, Maseratis, Nobles, Ultimas, Beemers, TVR's and some very wild Audi estates)with opportunities to get propelled down the runway as a passenger also

- Burger Van galore!

It just gets better.

Oh and a chance to meet some of the PH personalities frequenting these boards!

Shame its the 12th as would have gone...but climax of the F1 in Japan means a very earlier start and sleeping rest of day

I think Craig is putting together the day on a cost per car running, rather than a cost per driver basis. Estimate on about £150 for your car to use the facilities for the day.

Don't be ridiculous, Sir Alfred!

I have it on good authority that the Tuscan chez toi is famed amongst the firmament of Tuscanites everywhere: thus your prescence is less of an option - more a demand!

(In other words, I would dearly like to be Tuscanated up Brunter's straightest path in your glorious device!)

As Arnie says to Vernon Wells (aka 'Bennett') in the unspeakably remarkable 'Commando' when faced with said thespian of antipodean extraction and a knife threatening moment: "Do it!"

**************** Some Details ******************

Times:
Will probably aim to kick off about 9.30 with a short safety briefing, signing of disclaimers and a drive around. Will be winding up around 4-5ish depending on how we are going.

Directions: It is bruntingthorpe proving ground in Leicestershire (off M1) see map here:

www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&db=hcgaz&addr1=&client=public&addr2=&advanced=&addr3=&pc=&X=460267&quicksearch=bruntingthorpe&Y=290092&scale=100000&cidr_client=none&place=Bruntingthorpe,Leicestershire&coordsys=gb

Safety:
This is a private booking so helmets are optional, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer BEFORE driving. Please be sensible, we dont want any accidents. Whilst we are there to have a LOT of fun and some VERY high speeds please be aware of others, and your own, and your vehicles limits. If the track is wet take your first few runs very cautiously until used to braking distances etc. Ask Tony 996 if you need verification of this

Spectators:
Very welcome, no charge, you may be asked to do a spot of marshalling (nothing too taxing). Please be very cautious when on the track (ie waiting areas) as cars may be coming up very quickly behind you. Non driving cars (ie non paying), please observe a 30mph speed limit and keep to the left.

Checks:
Check your cars over fully the day before, fluid levels, tyre pressures & condition. Make sure the car is clean as this makes it go a lot faster, its true its true!

Paying:
Will know final cost in the next day or so, is looking like it might dip just under £150 per car. Those who have paid full amount will be reimbursed. Anyone who hasnt paid in full/deposit please bring cash on the day.

One more thing, it can get very very cold there so wrap up warm.

Any more questions ladies & gents ?
