Hi all,

Just a quick one to say thanks to all the TVR owners at the sprint on Saturday at Castle Combe. I was Paddock exit marshal & standing amongst 2 dozen or so TVRs all sitting there, blipping their throttles was fantastic.

What an amazing sound, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!!!!!

Yes indeed! They are always excellent value and create interest, not just because of their fabulous sound but their commitment on what started out as a very unforgiving surfacesmile

Although it did dry out

Nice photographs.

"The Beast" made me laugh, he thought he may have a go on slicks in the wet, with 650BHP on tap.

The clerk of the course had a chat with him & thanfully he saw sense. just as well really, as even on treaded tyres he was struggling for traction, pretty much all the way Avon Rise!!!!

Does anyone have a list of the final positions at Castle Combe? Unfortunately had to leave before the finish coz had a long drive back home.

As the TVR Club member, Blue Chimaera 400, who attended the Sprint, but had entered in the Open Sports Class 7, rather than Limited Sports Class 8. I ended up competing with 5-other V8 Morgans rather than any TVR's !!!!

Just to ensure we keep the TVR end-up, I took Class 7 with 89.46 sec, a full 3-secs quicker than any of the Morgan's (one was a 4.6). My fastest around Coombe also!!

I know it won't get to Tim's Web page, but this is good enough !!

Maybe next year I'll join you.

Trev McMaster

P.S. Well done Pegasus Motor Club - a brilliant weather forecast BBC, not!!!
You all did well to get the meeting finished. Thanks from me for the Marshalls and organisers - gr8 day thank you.

A big well done to you KVTRV, was watching you on Sunday and wondering why you were with that class and not the other TVR's - hopefully look forward to joining you with the TVR's next season.

Give Phil his due, he surely does try! I haven't had a chance to find out if he damaged the car yet, though.

Fabulous photos, BTW. I wish I'd been there, now. frown

The "corner" Folley is a difficult one in the wet, in the dry it's relly a non event, but in the wet it's very slippery. As you now know!!!!!

Was a fantastic day - the three top guys (Jes, Paul and Matt) all pushed to the limit and (seemingly) beyond. Thanks to all who marshalled and came along to support, especially the photographers! Below is some on board video from a rather fumbled and less than committed lap - anyone would think I wasn't battling for the Championship victory .. oh well.

It was incredibly slippery in the morning practice - my plan was to trundle round at "to the shops" pace and as you'll see, I nearly binned it at the second corner!
