Replacing Dashboard in a Chimarea
Discussion
Has anyone replaced the dashboard in their Chimaera themselves and that could give me any pointers to look out for.
It seems relatively straighforward, but im sure it will not be plain sailing.
Ive been told that it should take about 4 hours!

Me and mechanics don't go in the same sentence but nevertheless I managed to do the top dash myself.
I can tell you, you will need to be very patient for 2 reasons, 1. Finding the 3 nuts is simply a nightmare and 2. Once you get the 3 nuts off you would think the top would slide off but it doesn't...rushing it could lead to a split veneer or somewhere else on the dash.
The bible helped me through my struggles...good luck!

There's a very good explanation of how to remove a Chimaera's dashboard on trefor's site -- www.lotion-motion.com, I think? Check out trefor (PH member), anyway.
