On our final leg home from a round trip to Monaco - we arrived at the French toll booths at the same time as a British plated 355 Ferrari and a Boxster who were in convoy. Having made my intentions clear to the Ferrari that a burnup was the order of the day - he willingly obliged. With Ellejay threatening me not to let the Ferrari past 140mph was soon reached ( with the Ferrari still behind ) At this point the Ferrari seemed to back off a gnats and maintained 135mph for a short while. Meanwhile The boxster was completely out of sight so we both dropped speed to about 80ish to let him catch up - During this dawdle - we passed under a bridge where there were two French police with their speed guns. How lucky were we!!
I felt the need to buy the Porsche driver a drink but we never saw them again

It was great - we went on the autobahn to have a bit of fun but there was to much traffic - we even had the camera posed for the speedo pics.

I have an old git in a Skoda to thank for one reprieve. Stuck behind him on a twisty road, cursing and fuming, we then went round a corner and presto - Plod enforcing a new 30 zone. Thank you old git!
