Call me mad but I've been think of starting a prestige car swap service, as a free service where people can swap their prestige cars for periods of time or mileage. Allowing TVR owners to experience models they haven't yet driven, allow owners a variety in their ownership. It is just an idea at the moment but I'd be very interested in hearing you views and comments

You're mad silly

It can't be a free service, who's going to pay the insurance, damage deposits etc?
Would you trust someone you hardly know to drive your P&J so they can put a thousand miles on your car rather than theirs?
That might not be allowed but once they've done it it's too late, you'd need a deposit to cove such things and administration it would be a nightmare.

As they say 'I'm out'

Like I say it was just an idea and I wondered some such scheme existed. I see your points regarding insurance and deposits. So its back to the real world for me frown. Any way I was just extremely keen to drive some series tvrs fr a few days and few hundred miles since I've never driven one and I'd like to compare it the my chim. Out of interest then, what sort of administrative bits and pieces would someone have to put in place to swap cars for one weekend with another owner that they trusted.

It's too risky.... as said insurance, speeding tickets/parking fines/congestion charging/damage/consequential damage/roadworthy issues of loan vehicle etc etc etc etc
