Advice please: good car transport companies

Hi All

I need to get my Griff over to Leven Technology in Basildon - but am in the unfortunate position that I've just injured my back and thus can't drive Can anyone recommend a good car transport company?

Sorry to hear about your back, hopefully nothing too serious.

Failing that, surely someone with a trailer could help you? Although i'm unaware of the insurance issues this may have?

Hi DB - thanks for the response and sympathy!

I found a good service broker on the net: http://www.cartransportbroker.co.uk/ and asked for quotations through that service in the end. Within the hour of posting the request I received three quotations for pick up of my Griff. Seems to be a good service for furture reference

I also spoke to Jules at Leven - it turned out that a transport company local to Basildon had one of their drivers returning from Wales and we managed to agree for him to pick up my car as he came past Hungerford. Amazing luck Anyhow, now the P&J is on the way to Essex as I type this....

Hi, if your really stuck give me a pm, I've got a Brian james 1300 trailer, Landrover Discovery tow car and not much on next week so a trip east to essex would be a cool day out. I used to trailer all of the guys over on the Ford forums cars so I'm fairly used to it now.

Thanks for the offer, I managed to sort out transport on Friday - by talking direct with Leven in the end.

of course there's also Shiply which I used moving up here and didn't have time to go back down and get my other motor up here.
