I hope no one objects to me posting this here....

I am on what seems an impossible mission to find a set of door window frames for a classic Vixen or Early M series car.

I have tried all of the obvious places like DavidGerald, and TVR m-fix, but sadly no luck. Even Ebay has nothing to offer...(there are a pair of later windows on there, but sadly, not much help!)

I was just wondering if anyone in the wider TVR community had seen any Vixens or M series cars being broken for parts, or perhaps seen any bits lying about?

Any leads, or suggestions of where to look would be greatfully received, Im a bit stuffed with no windows and I don't want to make my own unless I really have to!

Have you tried David Gerald who bought the rights to the M and Adrian Venn of Exactly-TVR.

They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Sadly neither of them can help. They were my first port of call!

The window frames and glass were, unfortunately TVR specials...And I suspect, made indervidualy to fit each car weeping

A proper restorer will be able to make the frames up, but at a cost I guess.

Glass wise, don't know what to suggest - sorry.

out of interest and to prevent anyone making a duff purchase.... are all 3000M door frames the same. Vixen S2 had squared rear top corners, M's are Curved but are some early M's squared as per the Vixen??.....ADRIAN shout

Give Spadge at Cottage Classics a try. Although he's given up the TVR side of things after being taken over by Lawrence Tomlinson he's something of a hoarder. You never know.

As above....It would seem that the vixen and very early 1972 M series cars had square window frames and later M series were round cornered....

I have Chassis number 2315TM registered on the 01/07/1972 and its definitely a square door. If thats any use to anyone for reference.

I have 1 later round style frame and glass set...not much use though!
