My road angel keeps giving a laser alert whenever the revs in my car go above 1500rpm!!! It is a 1997 TVR Chimaera 400...it seems to go off if the laser sensor is anywhere near the screen!!!! Please help...my snooper used to give a laser alert all the time also...so it is obviously the car causing the problem

Nick.
I suggest you ring blackspots up and ask them.
I seem to remember a thread regarding a small number of TVR's can intefere with the road angel. I gave them a ring when I was about to buy one a few months ago, and they were very helpful. They have modified the problem, but if you have just bought it and it's one of the earlier ones, they should send you an up-to-date one, free of charge,

It's not just TVRs that cause false alerts on Road Angels (my motorbike does the same). It's apparently caused by "electrical noise".

ps - I wouldn't bother emailing Blackspot, they are crap at responding. They are good at picking up the phone however.

Had the same problem when I got my RoadAngel, spoke to Blackspot and they knew of the problem with TVR's so they were changing the laser alert. Got a new one off them last week and it does exactly the same, so I will be emailing them again about the problem, will let you know what they say.

mmm - i got a replacement one through last week and its worked fine in the chim whereas previous one went off permanently. odd.

Glad you got it sorted out. As I said, they were very helpful when I rang them just before I bought one. Pity other companies in general aren't the same. Mine happens to work ok.
