My mile counter is stuck. I have probably done about 600 miles and it won’t move. I've tried pressing the reset button but nothing. is there anyway of forcing it to move again. Also I've noticed when i open my drivers side door I have water coming out of two holes in the bottom of the door. Yesterday I shook the door backwards and forwards and a floor of water came it. Is this normal? If anyone can help it would be great.confused

Re: Mileometer.

Is it something99999 miles.
If it is this appears to be a minor problem that people have reported before.

Remedies suggested in the past have been tapping the front of the dial.
Driving backwards enthusiastically and then forward again.

I tried a combination of all of these which worked.

A few free miles! - Can't be bad.

Mine did this for a while and eventually worked its way loose.

If tapping it doesn't work, could try removing the top of the dash, then you may be able to give it a bit more of a shake.

It always seems to happen on significant miles on mine 29999 and recently for a few miles on 39999. I find pressing the reset vigourously and frequently while driving eventually frees it. I don't think 'tapping' the glass does anything although I have tried that as well. Just perservere.

Re the water in your door again water should drop out of the drain holes, just check they're clear so that water isn't held for any period.

Fix = tap... tap ... TAP ... TAP ... fecking TAP = worked for me at 39999 and again at 49999, and just about 100 miles till 59999 when we will see if it has learnt it's lesson!

Water draining from doors = normal, that's where the drainage channels are.

Ours did this at 9999, 19999, 29999, 39999, and finally, terminally at 49999.

They all do that, sir.

In the end we had to have a replacement. On the previous ones we did the tapping business. At 39,999 it had to be taken out and moved on to 40,001 then put back.
