Could anyone recommend an MOT facility in Milton Keynes?

It's that time of year that I have to let my P&J into the hands of strangers, so would welcome any suggestions.

Never had my TVR serviced there, but I've used the OK Garage at Peartree Bridge for general repairs and MOTs over the last 10 years or so ( havent been there for the last 12 months or so though ). Have always been happy with their service.

I highly recommend Arden Park, next to Motorserve on Old Wolverton Road.

(Tell them they were recommended by some chap in a Green V8S.)

I have mine done by BVS in Brackley - about 25 miles from MK. These guys are familiar with doing my Chim, I believe they also do / have in the past done a lot of MOTs for Silverstone performance on a whole range of unusual motors.

Didnt realise there were that many TVR's around MK.

Only just got mine, but use D&S Motors in Stacey Bushes.

Speak to Darren.

I have used them for the last 9 years for various types of vehicle, couldnt fault the service at all.

Dinesh (the owner) is a regular at Le Mans, and they are a good bunch of car happy types.

I honestly believe that the person responsible for designing Milton Keynes road system, was a TVR owner! It's petrolhead heaven!!

Just had my Chimaera MOTd by A&R autos opposite Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell. Steve, the tester there is a PHer (cosworth1) tell him Ollie sent youwink He is a TVR nut too which helps.

Other than that D&S have always done our other cars and we don't have a bad word to say about Darren and the team.

Except for the inside edge tyre wear and brake pads, the 1km drag strips are alright, some of the winding lanes out to the surrounding villages are better.

Come on then where are all of you hiding I hardly ever see another TVR around when i'm out and about.

I don't live in MK anymore (used to live in Shenley Church End) but often over that way at the weekends. Very rarely see a TVR around there and if I do more often than not it's when I'm in the other halfs MGTF.

I got my MOT done at;

AMIC Motor Services, Unit 1A, Willowbridge Marina, Stoke Road, Bletchley.
01908 645551

And the reason you don't see it in MK much is 'cos the sat nav is in the Disco, and without it I always get bloody lost in that hell-hole.

Jumplead.

The quaint little village of deanshanger.

Or rather, quaint until a v8 rumbles through it!!!!

Only ever seen one Chim around the place, nice dark blue job going through the village.

Always on for a beer at weekends though.

WoW - checking everyone's profile replying to this thread - I never realised how many Chimaera owners there are in and around MK - I really need to keep my eyes (and ears) open!

Cube, you are not wrong.

I saw another Chim about a week ago with an attractive lady behind the wheel. Second i have seen in the area.

Sods law i was in the company motor and not mine, but we appear to be few and far between.

As soon as i have the battery charged, i shall be out and about for a play, and no mistake.

Look for a Starmist Green 93k mst likely heading in the direction of the Swan pub at Salford

Nice choice of eatery! I believe that the same people own the Black Horse in Woburn!!

If you are ever 'flashed' by a nutter in either a Saab or Smart, whilst out in your TVR, that will be me forgetting what I am driving at the time. It's a reflex thingsmile

I meet up with the Cambridge TVRCC over at Conington each month. The next one is evening of Thursday 21st if any of you want to tag along (PM me through the forum) - about 80 mile round trip from MK and a nice drive weather permitting

Failing that - a local place around MK one evening?
