Anyone know if there is anyone who covers the driver rather than the vehicle for breakdowns? I'm currently with the RAC for my two TVRs and my everyday car. Renewal is due soon and I'm searching for alternatives preferably with a European cover option.

Any ideas?

AA cover driver not car, RAC were cheaper this year but a quick call to AAs renewal people and they matched RACs quote to keep my custom.

Hi Phil,
I think you can do that with Britannia Rescue.

I'm with them. They have been very good to me over the years. exhaust dragging/Blown engine/broken clutch/crashed/crashed again. Yes a very good bunch. They never get tired of picking me up.

AA for any TVR owner.... You then get the option to buy the £65 a year warranty.... Five claims up to a maximum of £475.

Not sure I understand the question. Im with the RAC they have been very good on the few occasions I have needed them and they cover me for whatever car I happen to be in.

The only time I've heard of them covering the car rather than the driver is on company policies.

I've used Norwich Union for a number of years for their personal cover. With a permutation of 2 drivers and 3 cars to cover including the Griff, it's the only way that makes sense (financially).

Just checked with RAC website. I have the full monty cover that includes everything. Didnt cost a penny as I used my Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy it :-) This is a family membership for myself and my wife , we have 3 (sometimes 4 cars) between us.

From the RAC website (this applies to even their most basic level of cover): Covers you and up to 4 named members of your household as a driver or passenger in any vehicle.
