It's time for another tour guys.

It’s on Saturday 16th April - sorry it's not a Bank Holiday - Can someone at PH remove Bank Holiday from the title?

The trip is two parts - a run out around North Wales and for the regulars a meal at night and a stop over.

If you just wish to join for the day or a few hour then please join by adding your name.

Depending on how many and who turns up for the evening I have two options.

1. Stay at LionQuays in Chirk if a fair few turn up. Rooms around £100.
2. Put you up at a very posh BB up the road from me and we hit the local pub. The rooms are £75. Email me if interested.

  • ** The tour ****

We'll start out at Shrewsbury at 9.30am, stop for a pub lunch around 12 and finish around 4.30pm at the Hotel. The route is around 180 miles of unbelievable roads.

We'll split into two groups this time as usual to suit different driving styles

Here's few shots of last years run

The route will avoid the main tourist routes and take in more challenging scenic roads. We’ll take in our favourite roads from the last trip.

We’ll start out a few miles closer at the Shrewbury Dobbies garden Centre Roundabout Roundabout. The same one used for the October tour.

I recommend purchasing some cheap walkie talkie this time like the Binatone MR150. You can get them from Asda.

I've got Autoroute 2006 so you can download direction and TomTom Files. I supply details a few days before the run.

Anyway post if you wish to join.

If your running semi slick tyres, it's best to change to normal tyres as Wales is too unforgiving in the damp or wet.

I think the rooms have been block booked for us by Ed at Bodidris as it's a sister hotel to Bodidris. I spoke to him yesterday and he said he'd sort it for us.

I've also booked Bodidris for a North Wales Tour / Driving adventures reunion Christmas Party. Let me know if your interested?

It's the 16th - Don't think it's a bank holiday. Mistake when posting.

You still off to Ireland?

Put a link in the Website Feedback forum to this thread and a Mod will make any changes for you.

I would love to come to one of these but I am in the process of changing my wishbone bushes at present so it's unlikely to be ready in time.

I can't imagine Cat being without her Chim. Must be costing her a lot to run if thats the case. Certainly wouldn't be through lack of interest.

Hi Johnbear, will be good to see you and the touring crew on 16/08/08 tour, just got back from a South/West Wales hoon, scenery not as spectacular as Snowdonia and poor quality sheep stock, but good weather and Sp6 sooo reliable, if any of the touring crew are stuck for a ride/drive let me know, see you on the 16th.
