What ingenious solution have you come up with to stop the drivers carpet from sliding around?

I've tried double sided carpet tape which soon lost its adhesive, plastic clips just snapped and velcro spent more time sticking to itself than the carpet!

Try something like Scootgard - available from most yacht chandlers.

I've gota second fullsize carpet on top of the other in my Griff and that doesn't move at all.

Mine came from the factory with Velcro on them, no problems at all with that.

Velcro here too, simple but effective.

I had that problem too... Easiest solution was to bin them as they didn't look great either. If the original carpets wear out, just get a replacement bit from coverdale!

You can get a 'glue' that is called something like Tackifier that grips but doesn't fully glue and is used on carpet tiles to stop slipping.

It might be worth getting a can if the Velcro doesn't work.
You really need to push down on the Velcro to get it to grip properly.

Another thought is the rubberised protection mesh made by Oxford (others may be available) that you put over the back seat of a bike before fitting throw-over panniers - this grips really well and could possibly be used as an underlay.
ETA: now I've looked at the Scootgard link that seems the same principle and possibly cheaper as it is on a roll.

Likewise my factory carpets had velcro sewn into them and my overmats had some kind of crocodile/bulldog clip mated to a big bent pin thing. I'm after another one of those for my passenger side if anyone has any clues.
