I spoke with Castle Race Engines Jamie Rogers this afternoon to give him an update on the support that I have witnessed following the thread Requesting support for his family on the WWM TVRCC regional forum.

Unfortunately Jamie imparted the dreadful news that his wife and mother to Tyler; Nicky had passed away on Sunday morning.

Jamie has asked me to pass on this very sad news to , to which I am sure that you will all be shocked and saddened to hear.

There will be a Service at Queens Road Baptist Church, Coventry on Friday 25th July, followed by a Service at the Crematorium in Canley. I will confirm timings with Jamie later, but I understand that the service at Queens Road Baptist Church will take place at 13:45.

Jamie says that all that want to attend will be made welcome, in his words Nicky was a very popular person and it would only be right that everyone that wants to attend should be given the opportunity.

On behalf of the WWM region and Guest family I would like to offer condolences to Tyler and Jamie and the rest of their family.

With the upmost respect, and for those that were unfortunate not to know this lady, could you tell us a little more about who she was?

Certainly...apologies if I did not make this clear from the post...Nicky was the wife and mother (respectively) of Jamie and Tyler (aged three years) Rogers.

Jamie Rogers is a smashing bloke and has his own business Castle Race Engines (CRE), jamie is ex TVRPower, and has an excellant CV including Indycar work, more importantly however he he a decent sort, as an RO for the TVRCC, I have only had postive feedback...

jamie posted a thread up on here a couple of months back it read...

"Please forgive the "read this and feel sorry for me" nature of this post, but I thought this was the easiest way of letting a lot people know that I am unable to answer calls for the short term.
I have taken this action because I know that the Tvr world is very small, and rumours are easily started.
My wife has recently been admitted to hosptial, and diagnosed with a rather serious illness that is affecting her brain and her chest, and so obviously, I need to be at home supporting her and my three year old boy for the time being. Some customers will already know this, some dont.
If you are trying to contact me, it is much easier to do so by email which is easily found if you dont have it.
All projects (including the re-engineering of the AJP V8 engine, a deal with Haynes Publishing for a book on performance tuning the Rover v8 engine) are currently on hold.
Like I say, this isn’t a post wanting sympathy, (although I appreciate the comments from those that do know), its just to let people know that we are still here, fighting this sh!tty thing.
Once again, apologies for being an attention w"

Jamie lives in the WWM region and has supported Graham Walden another WWM regional member in the TVR race series, as a result the region and the wider club have been active in trying to help the family out in these difficult times, please see the threads on the TVRCC general forum and WWM regional forum if you want to contribute.

Hope that this makes sense and clarifies this very sad situation.
