Is anyone going that I actually know??

Can't persuade Vic to come down as I'm taking her to Dublin the week before and we'll have used up all our babysitting favours, so if I go it'll be just me on me tod.

What do they do about tables, is it random? Do people request tables together? Do they put people from the same area together? Do we throw car keys in a hat...ah, sorry, that was another party altogether!

Is there a group going down from West or North Yorks? I know you're booked in Gemini but don't know of anyone else.

It's a bit of problem when you only know people by their PH names

If you read the BTap thread Ted seems to deal with this very well

If you have a few weeks to read the thread.

I think I saw something about saying who you want to sit near. Try page 38ish.

I can just imagine the scene after the 50th 'ok do who has a TVR?' comment..

Not been before, but if you mail Ted with a preference he will try to accommodate you.

When you get there - after a few beers in the bar (we'll deluge the place so just pull up a chaIr), we'll have name badges on a table. Whilst this may seem a bit geeky, they're done in a fun way so that you know who you're talking to (real name and gassing name). That way, when you're at the bar you can go "Ahh... so you're -insertnamehere-"

With regard to the seating plan, I just ask for requests. So if you know a couple of people who are going then let me know and I'll put you next to them. Most tables are a mixture of some that know each other and some that don't.

Dinner is served, wine is drunk, I get up and witter briefly, we have a raffle (had some great prizes last year), we dish out the PH Awards (mmm... must sort that out) and then we dance/invade the bar
