Hi all,

I own a Sagaris and have been trying to book a track day for some time. I am worried about noise limits. The tracks close to me are Thruxton, Silverstone, Castle Coombe. They all have a limit which I am concerned I will not pass. Does anyone have any advice as I do not want to be disappointed on the day.
MSV will noise test your car for you, ahead of the event. Give them a call. Or, one of the track day companies rents out a noise meter for not much money. Or turn up at a TVRCC Speed Championship meeting and I'll do it with my meter...

(Bear in mind that there is considerable variation between meters and that a borderline reading with one can be well over with another.)

Hum - you must be closish to me then. I have access to a noise meter if you want to see how noisy your car is.

What exhaust system do you have? Cats or no cats? ACT sell bolt on trackday silencers. I also have a set if you want to see what difference they make.

Yes please. That would be fantastic as it really is the next step before I can track the car.
The exhaust is standard but I have had the decat and new ECU. I have not RR'ed it as yet so overall figuers are much like the noise test.....TBA.

How do the silencers fit on. I have never removed the rear cans. I assume the two switch for the day rather than being an add on.

Drop me an email where you are and we'll see what we can work out. If you're decatted you may be struggling with noise levels even with the trackday silencers, as from my experience cats give you somewhere around 6-9db noise reduction.

The ones I have are from ACT ( http://www.actproducts.co.uk/trackdays.php ) They just slip over your tailpipes and clamp on with a standard exhaust U bolt.
Cheers

None of the circuits you mention are MSV's.
