Alarm disconnection

I am dismantling the car and am about to take out the battery to get to the last of the chassis bolts.
Is their anything I should do re: the alarm ( original gemini ) or should it just work when I have finished reconnected and re start the car?
Electrics are not my strong point!

Advise would be appreciated.

Yes it should work. My Gemini resets itself after it's been disconnected from the ECU itself. Disconnecting then reconnecting just my battery has the alarm fail to respond until I unplug the wires from the Gemini (battery connected) then plug them back in again.
