Value for speed TVR style...
Discussion
Mate of mine emailed me when I was away, so I told him the reason for the delay in replying was cos I'd just got back from taking the car down to spain.
The reply comes back...
"I wonder if your TVR is as fast as my new Ferrari 360 Modena?"
Obviously, a quick check on the stats, and seeing the list price at £103k, my reply went something like...
"Bloody 'ell mate, that's a lot of money to spend to reach 62 in 4.8 seconds!"
One up for the Blackpool boys again, I thank yow
nb. However, can't wait to have a ride in it

Still, as much as I love TVRs and the raw appeal of the griff, given the choise between that and a new 360 I'm afraid that I would have to go for the 360. Fiat or not! Especially if it was one of the new Stradalle (think that is how you spell it) versions. Heard one at Goodwood and it sounded quite evil.

So would I, but you wouldn't get one for the same price as a Griff
If I was given a 360, I would sell it and buy another Griff. They look ugly, sound horrible and everyone thinks you're a t*sser. A 355 is far nicer looking.
Now a black Lamborghini Countach 5000QV with sports exhausts or a red De Tomaso Pantera, that's more like it! Drool city.
All IMHO.

I was filling up the Tam the other day next to a guy in a new fast Fiat (as they known from now on). I asked him what he thought... his reply "the bloody thing is in the shop every month for something" Makes me feel a little better abut TVR build quality. I lied and said I had never had a problem.
Drove a 348 and a 550 about a week before I bought my Cerbera. The 550 was the better of the two, but I found them (especially the 348 very heavy, bulky and unresponsive).
Didnt help that it was LHD. All in all I'd choose the cerb every time over those 2 models (yeah I know they are old news now... still Iwas surprised at the lack of feel even for an oldie.)

Hey Rich'!... Check out my other post to get an idea just how good it was!
I am going to do a more comprehensive diary along with some pics... however... I will need someone to post the pics for me cos no matter how much I try I cannot figure out how to post them or set up a Fotango thingy... I am running an iMac however, which doesn't have such things as 'right clicks'!
