Remember first time I did this when viewing a house.

Initally I laughed and felt smug.

Gorilla of a man came out of house next door and started hurling abuse.

Needless to say I did not buy the house.

Bloody fantastic isnt it ...for some strange reason....and always makes me chuckle...
The one that also makes me giggle hysterically at the moment is when driving at night on country lanes with no street lighting is seeing a burst of light in the wing mirrors on the over run hehe

Ah I love doing this! I can usually set off one or two in my underground carpark without much effort, though I was in a Morrisons multi story the other day and after blasting in and flooring it up the ramp to the second floor I managed to set off 6 biggrin the noise of car alarms all going off in unison was hilarious although I got a fair few angry looks from shoppers...curse

After parking, the car park attendant guy came over to tell me what a noisy bugger I was and then challanged me to try and beat 6 on the way out... Only managed to equal the number as I left, but got a big thumbs up from the attendant left there surrounded by alarms going off! Love it smokin

On the flip side of this, the guy next door is a fire engineer for Tyco. His van's parked outside my house, and I've noticed some of the chavwagons easing off the throttle, so that they can accelerate past his van & set his alarm off.

My car's got near on 400hp & doesn't set it off, yet the 89bhp Corsas with 4" pipes do....... Does my head in

Oh yes indeed....... Aural delight - which does get a bit interrupted by the car alarms...

what am I doing wrong?

I have twin cherry bombs and FOUR outlet pipes and on a good day 108db, and the best I've managed is TWO car alarms in a multi storey (I don't count BMW's as they are way too easy to set off smile).

I reckon it's all about timing and how close you can get to the victim. I managed a hat-trick on my multi-storey debut last week, which certainly made the trip to the dentist a bit more enjoyable.

Mine was sound checked at 106db a couple of nights ago.

106db? Not trying hard enough!

I keep mine absolutely standard, as I appreciate not everyone around me likes that kind of hullabaloo - mine must be legal as I have an MOT to prove it. I do not condone stainless steel decat headers combined with cherry bombs - thoroughly irresponsible behaviour if you ask mewink...but last time there was a db meter about at a meet, an identical car to mine, ahem, revved out 124db!! (and yes, it takes on shop, car, bike, younameit alarms every time)biggrin

From the little I know and sure someone will tell me different1 I heard it was not the actual amount of noise but how deep the base side of it is? I live in the caribbean and when the lads go past in there cars with the base full blast you can feel your car pumping and so the same effect with the exaust as it sets of the movement senser. I have decatted sports and if you get the revs just right it has that deep warble that sets of everything especially if you can find a narrow street with tall walls?? Brilliant!!!!
