Back end of July my Chimp was tailgated by a clown who couldn't see a traffic light queue. Hopefully the car will be returned by the repairer next week; use of it being denied me during the whole of the sunniest month for years.

Naturally, I'm going to have a pop at getting some recompense from his insurers for that loss of use (amongst other stuff) but, how the heck do you quantify what a convertible is worth in the summer sun?

Don't give them ideas - they'll probably try to charge you for all that sun lotion and cold beer you didn't use!

Consequential losses? You'll be lucky mate! Check out the small print. Perhaps there might be something if it was covered for business use (ie loss of business) but don't hold your breath!

Ditto.

I've been parted from Trev for 4 weeks so far while diagnostic tests have been conducted only to be told that although the problem has now been identified the TVR factory has closed for 2 weeks

Aggggghhhhhh I can't bear it any longer

I'm pacing up and down here watching the lovely balmy summer evenings drawing in thinking of missed opportunities in Trev
