I have cold air coming in on the drivers side it appears to be coming in about three quarters of the way up the front of the door about 15 inches above the sill..the door seal looks fine.

haven't been out in the rain yet but i expect it will leak and only noticed it the other evening as it was a bit colder outside...
Any ideas please guy n girls

The door seal looks fine on my car but misses the door by a good half an inch. To test, smear vaseline or butter on the door seal and close the door. If you can see a spot where the vaseline hasn't been transferred to the door, the door isn't touching the seal.

You can...

a) have the door realigned (or a shim taken out) for about 60 quid

b) Fill the gap with 20 layers of insulating tape as I've done.

Check that it's definately coming through the door seal first. Try some gaffa tape down that area and see it it goes away. (personally I doubt it's that). Does your car have the extra blower for cold air on the drivers side? It's supposed to feed additional air to the outboard dash vent but maybe the duct has come adrift?

i'm waiting...

it's the door seal, it's not touching for about 8 inches, thinking of a way to build up the seal rather than disturb the hinge! possibly with a piece of rubber taken from a double glaze window.../
