New TVR factory
Discussion
As far as know the TVR factory in Brazil is going ahead, I spoke to Crieghton Brown (MacLaren) last year. Crieghton was MD of the F1 GTR project. He has had business interests in Brazil for a long time (25 years +). He mentioned to me he is involved in setting up the TVR factory in Brazil. He was once a Griff owner, which was modified by Dave Brodie but did not keep it long. I was going to call him this week anyway, so I will find out some more info.

As far as I know they are planning to produce complete cars, but just the Tuscan, at least this moment.
The target would be south american market (Brazil mostly), but I´ve heard something about sending them to USA also.
So, finally we would see some of these beasts down here in Brazil...
In past years had been sold here about 40 Ferrari´s/year and about 80 Porsche´s/year, plus some more Jaguar´s, Lamborghini´s, Maserati´s.
Of course our market is smaller than Europe or USA, but as the price of a Tuscan should be about a third or a quarter compared to a Ferrari (US$300.000,00) or a Porsche, I imagine they can sell about 300 or 400 cars/year in Brazil plus more 300 in other latin countries (Argentina, Chile, etc.).
There are a lot of people here who can pay US$90.000,00 (this appears to be the price they want to sell them) and would like to have a performance car.
Unfortunately I don´t belong to this group...
