Clock Stopped

My odometer has stopped in the Chim at 29,999.....is there a fix to make it click over to 30,000 and start working again without taking the dash to bits ? Id been told that "they just start up again when they feel like it " - is that true ? ? ?

I believe if you tap it, if may move again, at least that is what I have seen other people with the same problem post on here. I have a digital version so mine does not suffer this, however when its battery runs out is does reset itself to zero.

A quick search using the word 'stuck' should capture about a dozen of so threads. Sometimes it appears the a good blast will sort it, other suggest reverse for a bit, others tap it. They all do that sir ! (But not mine - yet !)

Mine did exactly that, then started again next time I started the car.

I guess so... Give it a couple of hundred miles (you'll have to guess!), before you start worrying about it.
